Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Hosts Marie Oniwa, Senior Women’s Protection Adviser from UNAMI, at Sinjar Center

21/05/2024 - Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) was honored to welcome Marie Oniwa, Senior Women’s Protection Adviser from the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), to its center in Sinjar. The visit focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the current situation in Sinjar, with a particular emphasis on the challenges and needs faced by women in the community.

The visit concluded with a productive meeting between Ms. Oniwa, HMOW Executive Manager Dr. Nagham Nawzat, dedicated HMOW staff, beneficiaries, and local organization representatives working on the ground in Sinjar. This collaborative discussion highlighted shared goals and strategies to address issues impacting women in the region.
